Further Camp Description:

Practical Handgun is another way to say “action handgun” or “action shooting.” Campers are first taught safety rules (again and again.) Then instructors will work with campers “one on one” with grip, stance and sight picture and trigger control. After that will come introduction into drawing the gun from the holster and shooting while on the move or moving with a range officer from one box to another on the stage.

Camps can be offered in a variety of combinations. Handgun camps can be offered as a combination of beginner and intermediate. There is also a “combo” camp offered that is the handgun and rifle (AR-15 format). This “combo” camp of two different firearms is a little more demanding: The first two days of camp are about handgun. The last day of camp integrates learning how to shoot an AR-15 rifle at a variety of distances and from a variety of positions; from prone to up and moving.

Accepted methods of payment:

Methods of Payment include registering online through the secure shopping cart. To register online, choose the camp you want to attend, click on the appropriate payment button to be taken to the payment gateway and complete your payment.

We accept checks or money orders by mail to reserve your spot at a camp. Please send a note with your payment on which camp you plan to attend. Checks must be made payable to Babes with Bullets and mailed to:

CANCELLATION POLICY

To Submit Payment for Partial Deposits for Camps or for Scholarship Recipients Making Payment, Click on the link below. Please Fill in the ‘Camp Location’ Block on Which Camp You Are Attending!

You may make a $300 deposit to reserve a spot or pay the full amount. We must receive full payment 60 days before the start of camp.
If you are making a down payment (deposit) on a camp or paying your part of your scholarship fee Do Not use the ‘Purchase’ buttons listed by the individual camps. Use the Deposit area link below.
Again, be sure to select the CAMP LOCATION in the Deposit information before you begin the checkout process. You may make additional payments by credit card after the initial $300 deposit until your spot is paid in full.

Other Information:

Campers are expected to wear proper attire while on the range. Contact Camp Director, Deb Ferns, at Deb@BabeswithBullets.com with questions if you are not sure about what clothing to bring. Some camps may have a small camera crew filming our activites at camp. Participation in a camp is not a guarantee that filming will occur or that you will be filmed. We reserve the right to determine who and what is filmed at any given camp.

MICHIGAN:

June 28-30, 2013 – Beginner and Intermediate Handgun - SOLD OUT – Kalamazoo, Michigan is once again our Midwest location and we’ll be at the home range of instructor, Sheila Hoekstra. This handgun camp is offered to both the intermediate and novice women with campers staying nearby at the Willow Lake Lodge. Campers will arrive late afternoon/evening of Thursday, June 27th, 2013. This will be a camp for both novice and intermediate women and will end after lunch on Sunday, June 30th. Starting in 2013 lunches at the range will continue to be provided however breakfast and dinners will be “on your own.”
